Smarter eDiscovery: Attend the Conference that Provides You Practical Tips

Are you looking for practical advice to help you work smarter, not harder, regarding eDiscovery? The 10th Annual UF Law E-Discovery Conference (hosted by the University of Florida Levin College of Law), taking place February 8-9, 2023, does just that by offering invaluable guidance on the legal, technological, and practical aspects of eDiscovery.

This year, the conference features a session titled “Guidance for Legal Teams from Case Law Decisions in 2022,” moderated by eDiscovery Assistant CEO Kelly Twigger and featuring United States Magistrate Judge Mac McCoy of the U.S. District Court Middle District of Florida and Of Counsel Ryan Tilot of Gunster, Yoakley & Stewart P.A. This session, to be held day one of the conference, will focus on how 2022 set another record for decisions on electronic discovery with proportionality, BYOD, search terms and TAR, and issues in emerging technologies leading the way.

The case law panel will review some critical decisions from this past year to provide practical takeaways for what litigators and litigation teams need to know as they advise their clients on the ever-expanding world of ESI and their impact on the law of eDiscovery.

This year’s speakers will cover various topics, from ESI Protocols to ethics in artificial intelligence. A few of the highlights include:

  • A keynote presentation by Jerry Bui of FTI on deep fakes and what that means for legal
  • A keynote presentation by Associate Justice Tanya R. Kennedy on the power of inclusion in legal technology
  • A panel discussing how to tackle preservation issues that come with the growing use of collaboration tools
  • The Annual Judicial Panel, moderated by David Horrigan of Relativity and featuring one District Judge and five Magistrate Judges
